Year 12 Food Technology students and Mrs. Osborne recently visited Thompson’s Bakery at Gateshead for a behind the scenes look at how pies, sausage rolls, garlic bread, lamingtons and bread is made.

Food Technology students are currently undertaking an assessment task where they must design and develop a product using the correct steps in the Food Manufacturing Process. By visiting the bakery, students were able to view firsthand how industrial food manufacturing practices are implemented and adhered to while producing a high quality product.
