What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

Opening hours

The Cardiff High School canteen is open every school day for breakfast (8:30am to 9am), recess and lunch.

Orders and menu

A diverse range of freshly prepared food is offered daily, providing a wide range of inexpensive, wholesome food as well as traditional favourites. All fresh items must be pre-ordered.

Online ordering via Sentral Parent Portal or Sentral Parent App.

Preference is given to students who place an order. It is highly recommended for students to pre-order their lunch to ensure they do not miss out after standing in a queue.

Online and in-person orders need to be placed before 9am.

Operation

The canteen is managed and operated by the school's parents and citizens association (P&C), employing 4 dedicated canteen staff and a host of wonderful volunteers. If you are able to volunteer 1 or more hours from 9am onwards, on any day, once a month or more, please contact the canteen manager, Louise Stewart at the school on 02 4954 9966.

All profits from the canteen are utilised by the P&C to fund significant improvements and projects for the school.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.
