Three students set nine new school records at the Cardiff High School 2021 swimming carnival.
In the 15yrs Girls Georgia produced new records in the 50 Free - 28:63, 50 Breast - 37:37, 50 Fly - 30:44 and 100 Free - 1:00:97.
In the 13yrs Boys Cameron produced new records in the 50 Free – 30:28, 50 Breast - 39:41, 50 Back – 37:62 and 100 Free - 1:07:94 (previously set in 1975 by S.Dick).
In the 17yrs Boys Luca produced a new record in the 50 Breast – 40:35.
Georgia went on to take out the champion of champions race with all competitors going into the race separated by a time difference of only 4 seconds. It was an exciting and tightly contested 50 metre dash with all competitors finishing close together.
Congratulations to all students who attended the swimming carnival for their outstanding efforts, and great results. Most swimmers who attended the swimming carnival will progress through to Zone. Best of luck to those students proceeding on to represent CHS at the next level.
