2021 Swimming Carnival

The first major sporting event for our sports organiser in 2021 has run smoothly. With early plans and organisations stopped by COVID safe practices, a revised competitor only swimming carnival was held instead. The event took place at Charlestown swimming pool on the 1^st February and was attended by about forty competitors.

The organiser reflected on the day with the following comments: “I would just like to say how great all the athletes were. Most of them swam in every event in their age category, they we so well behaved and showed great sportsmanship. As with the staff, everyone was so great in their rolls and I am so grateful.”

A big thank you to the competitors, Sports Coaching students who volunteered to time keep and staff who attended to enable the day to run successfully.
